About Troop

We are one of the newest and busiest Troops in the Tidewater Council, located in the Great Bridge section of Chesapeake, Virginia, chartered by St. Thomas Episcopal Church

Troop 901 is a boy lead Troop consisting of several Patrols with an average of 6 to 8 Scouts in each Patrol, totaling 30 Scouts and 15 Adult Leaders. The Troop meets regularly from 6:30 - 8 PM on Sunday evenings to conduct Troop and Patrol activities and participates in many District and Council wide events. During the course of the year, Troop 901 participates in several outdoor activities such as the District Spring and Fall Camporee, Freeze-O-Ree, Resident summer camps, Troop and Patrol Camping, various Scouting fundraisers, community service projects and other social activities. We have developed a "Unit Guide Handbook" which was designed for the parent without any experience in Scouting.   It's a comprehensive description of requirements and responsibilities established within the Troop 901 Family Scouting experience .  We welcome any suggestions, recommendations, and/or observations that may help improve the usefulness of this handbook.

We invite you to explore our website at your leisure.  We improve and add information to this site weekly so check in with us periodically. Don't forget to look at our Calendar and Activities pages for the latest events.  Again, welcome to Troop 901!
